A pension fund at retirement enriched by a large loyalty reward!

Your pension fund will be managed by professionals and continue to grow each year. To make your pension fund even bigger, we will add a loyalty reward of up to 1,650% of your annual premium (depending on your policy term and premium paying mode). All you have to do is pay your premiums on time. 

A monthly pension that fights inflation and grows each year

Your pension fund will earn dividends each year and continue to grow over time to help you to counter the effects of inflation.

Pensions booster - a higher monthly income with no extra charge!

The pensions booster is a unique feature introduced with AIA smart pensions plus. AIA will boost your monthly pension with a dividend that is 30% higher than the declared annual dividend rate.

We will pay your premiums if you are not around

If you unfortunately pass away or become totally and permanently disabled, we will pay all your remaining premiums and ensure your loved ones receive the pension fund you planned for them. 

Financial security and a monthly income for your loved ones

In the unfortunate event of your passing, we will help your loved ones by paying the life benefit and they will have the flexibility of receiving it as a lump sum, as a monthly income until the selected retirement date or as a combination of both.

Funeral expense benefit if you pass away during the pension receiving period

AIA will pay a funeral expense benefit worth 5 times your annual basic premium (up to a maximum of Rs. 500,000) as a free benefit. 

Flexibility to withdraw funds in an emergency

After the third policy year, you can withdraw up to 15% of your pension fund, as a one-time withdrawal during the premium paying term. 

Accident benefit (an optional benefit)

If you pass away from an accident, we will provide financial protection for your family and ensure their lifestyle is maintained.

Permanent disability benefit (an optional benefit)

If total permanent disability occurs due to an accident or sickness, you will receive the selected benefit amount. If permanent partial disability occurs due to an accident, you will receive the applicable benefit amount as mentioned in the policy document.

Family Health Passport benefit (an optional benefit)

This benefit is designed to complement your life insurance plan to turn it into a total health care plan. Under this cover, your whole family's medical expenses can be covered for hospitalisation, surgery and day care procedures in Sri Lanka.

Daily cash benefit (an optional benefit)

This benefit provides a daily cash payment of up to LKR 10,000 (from the very first day onwards) if you are hospitalised for more than 3 days. The amount you receive will double if admitted to an intensive care unit. Furthermore, you can extend this cover for your spouse and children as well.

Critical illness benefit (an optional benefitan additional benefits)

This benefit provides financial protection for you and your spouse, if diagnosed with one of the 22 listed critical illnesses.

Adult surgery benefit (an optional benefit)

Under this cover, we will provide financial assistance for 250 listed surgeries performed in Sri Lanka, India or Singapore. Furthermore, you can extend this cover for your spouse as well.

Family income benefit (an optional benefit)

If you unfortunately pass away or become totally permanently disabled (TPD) due to an accident or sickness, your beneficiaries will receive a ‘monthly income’ for the next 5 years. This will increase by 5% during each policy anniversary (on simple straight-line basis) until the monthly payment becomes payable.

Spouse life cover (an optional benefit)

Provides a life cover for your spouse on your policy.

Child healthcare benefit (an optional benefit)

Under this cover, we will provide financial assistance for 250 listed surgeries performed in Sri Lanka, India or Singapore for your child. If your child is under 12 years, we will also provide you with an allowance so that you can be with your child.

If the life assured is not the policy owner the benefits provided by this policy will be applicable to the policy owner, whilst the covers are applicable to the life assured. This page is only a product overview. For full product details please refer the policy document.

You may cancel this insurance policy by returning it to us within twenty-one (21) days from the date you received it. We will pay your premiums back to you after deducting the expenses relating to your insurance policy.

If the life assured commit suicide (while in sound mind or otherwise) during the first year of the policy or the re-instatement;

We will pay the premiums you have paid after deducting the  expenses relating to your insurance policy;

Or

Where the policy is assigned to a third party if the third party proves that there isn’t any other way to recover the money paid for the assignment, we will make that payment to him (but not more than the amount payable upon your death)  

We will pay only the surrender value, if the death of the life assured was resulted due to the life assured taking part or while trying to take part in any war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities or war like operations, civil war, mutiny, riot, strike, civil commotion assuming the proportions of or amounting to a popular uprising, military uprising, insurrection, rebellion, military or usurped power or any act of any person acting for any organization which works with the aim to forcibly remove any government from power by terrorism or violence.

If the reason for the death claim was acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (aids) or human immunodeficiency virus (hiv) we will only pay  the balance of the fund at the date on which we receive the notice of your death.

During the first three policy years if you do not pay your premiums on the due date you will have an additional thirty (30) days to pay premiums.

A rate declared by the company for each year that will be used as the basis to credit dividend to the investment account. The annual dividend rate applicable for the previous year will be declared during the first six (6) months of the current year. A guaranteed dividend rate declared by the company that will be used as the basic for any benefit calculated based on the investment account balance until the annual dividend rate for the respective year is declared. The guaranteed dividend rate for the following year will be declared during the last three (3) months of the current year.

Any time after completion of the premium paying term, a onetime withdrawal of 15% of the policy funds may be withdrawn. 

With respect to the value-added services offered herein provided through external partners or third-party service providers, AIA shall not be responsible for the quality, or any other aspects of such value-added services. AIA reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue any and all of such value-added services at any time without recourse. Customers are advised to use their discretion in making use of these services.

Doc990 and Flash Health benefits are available exclusively for policies with an ANP over LKR 100,000 or those with a Health Passport rider.

Discounts from Vida Medical Clinic can be obtained if the ANP is over LKR 250,000
