We wish to inform you that an employee attached to one of our Sales Divisions has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the evening today. The employee is receiving necessary medical attention and we wish him a speedy recovery.
At AIA, the health and well-being of our Employees, Customers, Business Partners, Wealth Planners and the wider Community is of utmost priority to us. This is more so than ever during these unprecedented times of a pandemic.
We are in the process of informing the relevant authorities, his close contacts and the locations he visited for business purposes during the last few days (including a business commencement program held at an outside location), as soon as we were made aware about the diagnosis. We are taking all measures to mitigate the impact of the virus while adhering to all regulations and guidelines directed by the authorities. We will continue to be in contact with the relevant authorities for further direction including assisting the authorities with contact tracing or PCR testing of individuals who have been in close contact with the affected employee, if considered necessary.
We are extending our fullest support to the affected employee and his family and wish them a quick recovery. As we continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and take appropriate actions to safeguard the health of our people, let’s stay safe, be responsible and help each other live healthier, longer, better lives.
