Creating awareness about the importance of healthy living is a priority at AIA Sri Lanka and bringing this to life in a meaningful way, the insurer signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) recently to roll out an array of benefits for both partners.
The partnership opens the door for AIA to add greater value to its ‘Healthy Living’ endeavours while enhancing awareness among the doctors of the importance of retirement planning and ensuring protection for their families. GMOA members are offered a free personal accident cover granted as an exclusive benefit for those who invest in a retirement plan from AIA.
“This partnership is an important milestone for the GMOA and will help the membership to appreciate the need to plan for the future, ensuring the protection of their families while we in turn can make AIA’s healthy living focus more meaningful” said Dr. Anuruddha Padeniya, President of GMOA. Dr. Naveen D. Soysa, Spokesman of the GMOA said “It is very commendable that AIA engages in activities that educate the general public about adopting a healthy lifestyle. Awareness about what is healthy and what is not is low in Sri Lanka and we as partners can do a lot for the nation.”
“All in all it will be a win-win partnership between the country’s doctors and AIA and will help motivate our customers and employees to adopt a healthier lifestyle, with the help and advice of doctors” said Shah Rouf, the Chief Executive Officer of AIA Sri Lanka. “This partnership will help AIA to get closer to the GMOA membership while the doctors will be able to gain an in-depth understanding of the importance of ensuring financial protection, whatever their life stage needs and aspirations for their loved ones” he added.
